Depression

Depression can be a difficult and overwhelming experience. It may feel like a dark hole it is difficult to get out of!  Beverley offers a range of approaches to help you manage your depression, improve your mood, and quality of life.  Approaches may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Lifestyle Coaching, Life Stress Reduction (Traumatic Incident Reduction & other listening techniques to release the root of the pain, increase positive memories, and self esteem), Mindfulness & Meditation, aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Family Systems Theory.

​In addition, if a deeper longer process is desired towards self actualization, Psychodynamic Sand Tray work activates through symbols and intuitive creativity, in a free and protected space, the psyches innate desire toward healing on an unconscious level.  Some of the theory relates to Carl Jung’s process of developing the Self toward wholeness and individuation.  This can be very powerful in resolving pain concerning the mother or father bond in adults or children, and in resolving grief, as well as finding meaning and purpose.

We will work together to identify and address the underlying causes of your depression and develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs and goals.
